ワーホリや短期留学で来るほとんどの方が、飲食業で働くことになるか、と思います。

この記事では、レストランのサーバー希望を例に、面接時に聞かれる質問と、その答えを紹介します。

前もって質問の答えを用意しておくことで、自信を持ってスラスラ返答ができるので、採用率がグンとあがります。

あたなのことを教えてください

自分のライフストーリー、兄弟は何人いる、好きな食べ物はなに、などの私的な細かい情報はいりません。

・自分がどんな人間か分かるように、自分に関する事実を絡めながら、今の自分の状況を話す

・いままでの仕事での経験、これまでした役割や責任について説明

・なぜこの仕事に興味をもつようになったのかつなげる

・笑顔で愛想よく答える

答え方の例

I’m from Osaka Japan and I was a pre school teacher for 3 years. I loved that job but I wanted to explore the world and lean different cultures and languages. That’s why I came to Canada.

I have several years of experiences as a server and I have been recognized for my customer service and time management skills. I really enjoy working in the restaurant industry and makes the customers happy which is why I’m so excited about this opportunity.

2. Why do you want to work at this restaurant?

・レストランについて気に入っている点と、その理由をいくつか挙げる

・正直かつ率直に、ウェブサイトで読んだ内容や、レビューを参考になぜここが気に入って働きたいと思ったかを伝える

3. Why should we hire you?

なぜ私たちはあなたを雇うべきだと思う？

あなたを雇いたくなる理由を必要としています。自分の都合(家が近い、給料がいいなど)の話はせず、相手のビジネスの得になるようなことを伝えます。

・自慢に聞こえる言い方はしない

・自分のポジティブな性格、考え方が雇う側にどのように役立つか

・お客さんの満足度にどう役立てるか

・自分が最適な候補者である具体的な理由を簡潔に

・前向きな姿勢で伝える

You should hire me because I have the experience and attitude to contribute to your company. I am a quick learner. I’m possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

4. What hours are you available to work?

週のいつ、何時間働けるん？

面接官が、前向きにあなたを雇おうと検討しているときにこの質問をします。

いつ働けるか正直に答えて、柔軟に対応できることも伝えます。

I’m available to work from 9 am to 8 pm on Mondays to Saturdays, and I’d be happy to work additional hours 

I’m able to woke any days. I’m also flexible about my end time on these days and during busy business periods.

特にありませんというのは、好ましくないです。

仕事のことについて積極的に考えてないのかという印象を与えてしまいます。
