- お客さんは注文するものを決めてから、サーバーを呼ぶ。「すいませーん！」と言いながら手を挙げたりして合図したり、呼び鈴を使う
- サーバーにテーブルの担当範囲などはなく、サーバー全員が店全体を見る
カナダ、アメリカ、西洋の国
- テーブルごとに担当のサーバーがいる
- サーバーが注文をとりに来るまで、注文するのを待つ
- お客さんが「Excuse me!」と声をあげてウェイトレスを呼ぶのは好ましくない
- ウェイトレスが定期的なにか必要なものがないか確認しにくる(水、ナプキン、追加のソースなど)
